It's really hard to work out during the holiday season!

Halloween just passed and with the holiday season fast approaching, working out seems like the last thing you want to be doing. Work deadlines, family obligations, kids’ school activities, parties, and last minute shopping might leave you feeling drained. It’s so easy to skip a workout here and there until you are missing weeks at a time.

We are here to encourage you to keep going! Grab a friend and come to our Zumba® classes. The one hour of your time will help in reducing stress, give you energy, and help burn off calories!

However, if you are unable to commit to our classes, we still encourage you to exercise on your own. Take daily walks or hike with a friend at a nearby trail. Look up short HIIT/core workouts online and take a break from your busy day even if it’s for 15 minutes at a time.

Working out during the holidays is really hard! Try to fight the excuses each day. You will never regret working out but you might regret not doing it. Take baby steps. Get dressed in the morning in your workout wear to help remind you to stay active that day. Go for a brisk walk. Run around with your kids. It’s okay to take a short break but remember that it doesn’t take long for your body to lose endurance, strength, and muscle that you’ve built up. If you can keep to a workout routine, it will help alleviate some of the stress during the holidays.

We hope that these tips will help you out during this crazy holiday season. We always welcome you to our classes with a smile and wish you a happy holiday season! As always, reach out to Amy and Sus if you have any questions. Here’s to a healthier you!
